How Riley handles your information.
Last updated: 30 September 2026
Who is responsible
Riley is provided by I SQUARED R CONSULTING LTD (company number 16936704), Ground Floor, 11 Manvers Street, Bath, United Kingdom, BA1 1JQ. Use our support form to contact us about privacy or your data.
Your data in Riley
Riley works on your device without a Riley account. Plans, preferences, routes, places and settings stay on your device unless you choose to turn on iCloud Sync. With sync on, those details are stored in your private Apple iCloud account. If you share a household, confirmed member names, dog profiles and optional photos, walk schedules and care summaries can be shared with its members.
If you invite a temporary caregiver, Riley shares the selected dogs’ names, delegated walk and feeding times, any handover notes, and care completion updates with that invited person through iCloud. The caregiver is not added to your household and does not receive your routes, planning location, calendar, or workout data.
Detailed activities, full GPS tracks and Apple Health information stay on your device or in Apple Health; Riley does not put them in its iCloud records. A paired Apple Watch receives the details it needs from your iPhone. Access to Apple Health and workout location is optional.
Your choices and deletion
You can use Riley without iCloud Sync. Turning sync off stops further Riley iCloud activity, but does not delete data already there. In Riley’s Settings > Privacy & data, you can export your Riley data or delete Riley data from iCloud. Deleting the cloud copy leaves the local copy on your device; deleting the app removes its local data. Apple manages any information you save in Apple Health under your device and iCloud settings.
Website and support
When you visit this website, our host handles your IP address and other technical request details to serve and protect the site. We do not collect website analytics or use advertising cookies. If you choose accessibility settings, your choices are saved only in this browser and are not sent to us.
If you use the support form, we ask for your name, email address and message so we can reply. We use this information to handle your request and protect the form from spam. hCaptcha checks for automated submissions and may use your IP address and browser interactions for that check. Web3Forms submissions are kept for 30 days. We keep resolved support email threads for up to 12 months, then delete them unless we need them for a legal reason.
Providers and your rights
Apple provides iCloud and Apple Health; Web3Forms processes support forms; hCaptcha checks submissions for spam; and our email provider delivers support mail. These providers may process information outside the UK under their data protection arrangements. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
You can ask us for access to, correction or deletion of information we hold, or object to our handling of it, through the support form or by writing to the registered office above. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We use your information to provide Riley and respond to support requests, based on our legitimate interests in operating the service; optional iCloud Sync and device permissions are your choice.
